Two displays. One shop window that works.
Since July 2026, Optik Ebeler in Kaarst has been showing offers, services and opening hours on two Ventaluz displays in its shop window, designed in the look of the store and maintained remotely from Cologne.
The installation

What runs in the window
No ad network, no third-party content: only the store itself.
Offer panels, eye test, contact lenses, in-house workshop, opening hours and a QR code to the website rotate in a calm loop. The design follows the colours of the brand Optik Ebeler trades under, so window and store fit together.
Each display has its own controller and therefore its own content: the landscape screen leads with offers, the portrait screen with services. We change promotions and prices remotely, with no on-site appointment.

How it went
From the site visit to a window that runs.
Four steps that are the same for every shop window. What differs is window size, light conditions and the content of the store.
Site visit and measurement.
On site in Kaarst: where do people look, where does the sun glare, where is power? That led to one landscape screen in the window and one portrait screen for services and hours.
Design in the look of the store.
Offers, services, opening hours and brands as designed panels in the store's colours. Approval via preview before anything appears in the window.
Mounting and commissioning.
Displays mounted, controller hidden behind the screen, Wi-Fi entered, done. The controller registers itself and fetches its content.
Operation and care.
New promotion, different prices, summer opening hours: we apply changes from Cologne. If a device stops, we see it before the customer notices.
